Sibel ÖZTÜRK graduated with High Honors from Ankara University Faculty of Law in 2016, with a cumulative GPA of 3.51/4.00. Following the completion of her legal traineeship, she was admitted to the Ankara Bar Association in 2017.

Focusing her practice primarily on competition law, commercial law, and administrative law, ÖZTÜRK completed her Master’s degree in Public Law at Hacettepe University Graduate School of Social Sciences in 2021. Her master’s thesis, entitled “Administrative Fines Imposed under the Act on the Protection of Competition,” prepared under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Dr. Özge Okay Tekinsoy, was published as a book by Yetkin Law Publishing in 2022.

ÖZTÜRK has further pursued her academic and professional development through international programs. She successfully completed summer schools and professional training programs in London, Odesa, Sofia, and Bucharest in the fields of “Maritime Law: Dispute Resolution,” “Business Law,” and “Mergers & Acquisitions.” With a view to further advancing her academic and professional expertise in competition law at an international level, she is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Competition Law & Economics in Brussels.

As a Partner at Erikel & Partners, a law firm established in Ankara in 1990, ÖZTÜRK provides legal advisory and representation services in Turkish and English to domestic and international clients, primarily in the fields of competition law, commercial law, and administrative law. A significant part of her practice involves investigations before the Turkish Competition Authority, mergers and acquisitions, competition law compliance processes, and administrative litigation concerning decisions of the Turkish Competition Board. She represents client companies at various stages of investigations conducted before the Turkish Competition Authority and provides strategic legal advice on competition law matters.

ÖZTÜRK also shares her academic and professional expertise through training programs and conferences. She regularly participates as a speaker and lecturer before bar associations, professional organizations, universities, and companies on various areas of competition law, particularly restrictive agreements, cartels, information exchange, administrative fines, and competition law compliance programs. In this context, she has delivered presentations at events organized in cooperation with Ankara Science University, the Ankara Chamber of Industry, and the Manisa Chamber of Commerce and Industry. She has also provided training to international participants at Summer ELSA Law School İzmir on competition law, cartels, anti-competitive agreements, and information exchange.

ÖZTÜRK advises companies operating across various sectors on the development and implementation of competition law compliance programs and provides training aimed at ensuring the preventive management of competition law risks.

A member of the Ankara Bar Association since 2017, Sibel ÖZTÜRK ranked among the top 100 individual income taxpayers in Ankara for the 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025 tax years.
